A Med City Pilates studio is on the move to the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.
Uptown Pilates owner and certified Stott Pilates instructor Connie Bruce is starting to offer classes in a new space at 29 16th Ave. NW behind the Boulder Tap House in the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.
She moved her studio from 121 23rd Ave. SW, where she and certified instructor Torri Murphy led classes for almost two years.

Uptown Pilates, which they describe as Rochester’s first stand-alone Pilates studio, opened in a 1,400-square-foot studio previously occupied by Dance Lab in September 2019.
The studio’s address isn’t the only thing that’s changing.
Bruce and Murphy have offered Pilates classes from the beginning. Now Uptown Pilates is adding yoga to the mix of classes, as well as Mat Pilates. They hope to have those classes in place by mid-August.
The concept of Uptown Pilates stemmed from Bruce’s 12 years of teaching Pilates fitness classes in Rochester health clubs and at her home.
“I just want to be able to offer Pilates to all of Rochester, not for clubs,” she said in 2019. “With the way the town is growing … people coming in from other places, Rochester needs a studio like this.”
