Disorderly conduct: Mayfield Road
At 9:05 p.m. June 22, police were called to Inner State Beauty School, 5150 Mayfield Road, by a male caller who told of an “uncomfortable situation.” The caller would not further explain what he meant by using the term.
At the scene, officers learned that two women had been involved in an argument. Police charged one woman, 33, of Mayfield Heights, with disorderly conduct. The woman would not stop yelling, walked away from officers and refused to identify herself.
Theft: Richmond Road
At 2:20 p.m. June 27, an employee of CVS/Pharmacy, 1443 Richmond Road, reported that a man had stolen two cases of beer and left the store’s parking lot in a black SUV that had no license plates. Police were unable to locate the suspect’s vehicle.
OVI: Mayfield Road
At 3:20 a.m. June 27, an officer attempted to stop a car for speeding on Mayfield Road. The driver did not immediately stop, but eventually did after Mayfield Heights police joined in.
It was found that the driver, a Cleveland woman, 29, was intoxicated, was driving with a suspended license and was wanted on a warrant. The woman had a blood-alcohol content of .168, above the state minimum for drunk driving of .08.
Police charged the woman with OVI and driving with a suspended license and arrested her on the warrant.
Open container in a motor vehicle: Mayfield Road
At 7:10 p.m. June 25, a motorist called police to report that a man in a red Chevrolet pickup truck, driving behind the caller, was drinking a beer as he drove. Police located the truck and conducted a traffic stop.
The Mayfield Heights man, 41, was cited for having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. The man was not intoxicated.
Assist person: Mayfield Road
At 2:25 p.m. June 22, a Mayfield man reported that he had bought a submarine sandwich from a sub shop and found a large piece of glass in the sandwich.
The man told police that he went back to the shop and told the manager about the glass, but that his complaint was discounted. The man then went to the Lyndhurst police station to discuss what had happened.
